Today is the day to show up for PMHNP students

Help support scholarships for Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner students.

Your support of the Lois Price Spratlen Foundation has helped us award more than $100,000 to 45 psychiatric mental health nursing students in our state.

Our spring fundraiser is a call to action to meet the mental health challenges facing our communities. Your donation to the Foundation is a commitment to serve community health, rural counties, and other underserved populations struggling to find qualified mental health providers.

We are facing an unprecedented time when mental health services and the nursing profession are under siege. With the U.S. Department of Education’s drastically reduced limits on how much nursing graduate students can take out in loans, the importance of scholarships is greater than ever.

Today is the day to show up for our Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner students across Washington.

Whether you give a little or a lot, every donation creates BIG change. The Foundation is committed to providing a record number of scholarships in 2026. Your donation will help us provide more and larger scholarships this year and in the future.

Do these scholarships make a difference? Consider the work of just three our past scholarship recipients:

  • Created a community health program to reassess and revitalize treatment plans to help patients who have struggled for years on ineffective medication regimens to regain their quality of life.

  • Worked for a nonprofit that promotes social justice and the well-being and empowerment of Asian Americans, Pacific Islanders, and other under-served communities.

  • Co-founded a nonprofit organization to find funds to support a recovery center serving rural communities in central Washington.

It’s on us to make a difference. Give today to continue your support of our mental health care in our community.
